Dragonframe controls the hardware responsible for the movement of lighting and cameras, and also consumes video and photograph stills from digital cameras. It is trusted by major motion picture studios and independent filmmakers alike. If you want everything to be operated and controlled you should be upping the budget. Dragonframe is a digital image capture software for stop motion animation. But i don't think they have an automated system for a electronic focus- and zoomcontrol. You can do funny extras like having an outdoor light that mimics the sun or something like that.įor realtime film you can also use out of the box solutions, Syrp is one of the systems I can recommend. There are plenty of diy arduino sliders that work with dragonframe.įor maximum resolution and quality stop motion is way smarter with these macro scenes then rail time filming. If you want repeatable shots and ultimate control I highly recommend Dragonframe software (you can control and keyframe everything, so even a dolly-zoom would be simple to repeat and control). If you research stop-motion you'll see there are great setups and tools available. I think you should start out as simple as possible, but focus on quality shots.
